Meet Our Founder - Mruga Kirloskar
With a background in BHSc Textiles and Clothing Design (SNDT University), Fashion Design (NIFT Delhi) and a Diploma in Apparel Production Management( School of Fashion Technology, Pune), it comes as no surprise that our founder Mrs Mruga Kirloskar, has a strong love for all things fashion and design. However, above all she holds the deepest love and admiration for Indian handwoven textiles, with a special love for Maharashtrian Paithani weaves.
She believes that our rich textiles are a legacy that has been left behind by our ancestors and it is our duty to appreciate, preserve and patronise these arts in whatever way we can; we owe this to our future generations! She has been designing and curating Paithani collections for over a decade and also works in various ways to modernise the traditional weave using contemporary and modern silhouettes
